BJA & BJC Competiton Results


THE BRADLEY STOKE MINI-MON OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS

On Sunday 13th November 2005, two members of the 2A’s Judokwai entered the Bradley Stoke Mini-mon Open Championships held at Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre, Bristol and both came away as medallists

In the boys under 27kgs event Daniel Powell powered his way to the gold medal winning all of his fights with Ippon score inside the time limit for each bout, with the final lasting a mere twenty-two seconds, beating an old adversary who is two years older than himself.

In the girls under 32kgs category Lulu Piovesana fought her way to a well deserved bronze medal, beating players who were a year or more older than herself.

Well done to both players.

7 Bronze, 2 Silver and 5 Gold - Well done to everyone who competed and supported our Club in what was a very long and hot day.


BJC Welsh National Open (June 2005)

Daniel Powell (under 25k) won Gold and Nicola Haywood (espoirs, under 63K) won silver.  A fantastic result - well done to both.


BJA Western Open (June 2005)

Two of our senior players, Nicola Haywood and Kelly Lansbury, travelled to Gloucester where they competed in the BJA Western Open.  Kelly came away with the Gold medal in the Ladies under 70kgs category whilst Nicola took the silver medal in the Ladies under 57kgs category.
