Leisure Centre, Birmingham. Fifty-two fighters from the 2A's Judokwai entered
the event and came home with a tally of Forty medals, which included sixteen

judokwai took a clean sweep of gold, silver and bronze in three of the low-grade
boys categories. This
was the largest entry the club has ever sent to a championship and in some
categories there up to eight players all from the 2A’s Judokwai. The
senior instructor Mr. Allan Ashford (Fifth Dan black belt) said, "This was
a great start to the 2006 campaign for the 2A’s players. There were some
superb techniques both from the lower graded players and the higher grades,
which was an eye-opener for what is to come in the forth-coming months”. Two
weeks earlier over the weekend of 11th & 12th February
the 2A’s judokwai joined forces with other local club, Erdington Judo Club,
and entered The London International Championship
held at the Excel Centre in
